The Department of Management in the School of Business at Providence College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member at the rank of assistant professor commencing August 2027. is a nationally recognized institution known for excellence in undergraduate education, a strong liberal arts tradition, and a distinctive Catholic and Dominican mission. The assistant professor will join the , which consists of twelve (12) full-time faculty members and offers an undergraduate major in management, in addition to courses in management for the graduate business program. The assistant professor of management will contribute to the department's teaching, research, and service missions. We welcome applicants representing a range of perspectives and areas of teaching and scholarship, with a particular interest in those whose work engages with teams, organizational behavior, and related micro-organizational research. A Ph.D. in management, organizational behavior, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. ABDs with anticipated completion by the time of appointment will also be considered.
Salary: $120,000-$135,000
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching: The assistant professor will be committed to high-quality teaching and student advising, and will teach six (6) courses during the academic year, across the fall and spring semesters, including undergraduate courses in management and courses at the graduate level as needed. There may also be opportunities to teach during the winter and summer semesters. Research: The assistant professor will be expected to conduct and publish high-quality research in their area of concentration. Maintenance of AACSB Scholarly Academic qualifications is required. Service: The assistant professor will be expected to engage in service activities for the department, school, and college, as well as ongoing practice-oriented activities consistent with AACSB qualification requirements as defined by the School of Business. A Ph.D. in management, organizational behavior, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. ABDs with anticipated completion by the time of appointment will also be considered. Supplemental Information
