Step into a week on assignment

Touch down in Georgia for a focused 3‑month engagement where your HBM expertise keeps production moving. You’ll start each shift reviewing prints, confirming setups, and dialing in feeds/speeds. Midday finds you running multi‑axis cycles on complex weldments, monitoring tool wear, and executing offsets. You’ll cap the day coordinating lifts with a 50T overhead crane and documenting results before handing off to the next operation.

Assignment snapshot

• Location & duration: 3‑month traveling assignment to GEORGIA
• Schedule: 50 hours per week guaranteed (overtime after 40)
• Pay & travel: $44/hr plus travel time compensation
• Per diem: $45/day tax‑free, 7 days/week
• Lodging: Private hotel accommodations booked for you

Equipment you will operate

• Fermat WFT table‑type Horizontal Boring Mill running on 4 axes with a B‑axis rotary table and a 10’×12’ table
• MTE Deutschland FBF‑M floor mill running on 5 axes (3+2) using a multi‑axis angle head

What you’ll do

• Set up, run, and verify multi‑axis programs on HBMs for large weldments and long cycle times
• Perform offsets and adjustments for feeds/speeds and tool wear
• Safely rig and move parts using a 50T overhead crane
• Arrive equipped: bring your own tools

Required background

• 4+ recent years operating Horizontal Boring Mills
• Floor mill or table‑type HBM experience is required; gantry HBM experience is not accepted
• Proven work on large parts/weldments with extended setup and cycle durations

Technical proficiencies

• GD&T interpretation
• CNC tooling selection and optimization
• G‑Code familiarity
• CNC machine setup and changeover

Must pass a background check and drug test
