Remote Sales Specialist

The Remote Sales Specialist independently contacts prospective and existing customers by phone and other approved remote channels to present Verizon Wireless products and services, convert assigned leads, and achieve established sales goals. The role manages a defined lead pipeline, provides an accurate and professional customer experience, and maintains timely sales and activity records while working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities include contacting assigned leads through approved phone, email, or virtual channels and conducting needs-based sales conversations. The specialist explains product and service options accurately, responds to customer questions, addresses objections, and closes eligible sales in accordance with approved sales practices. They achieve established weekly and monthly sales, conversion, productivity, and quality goals. The specialist manages lead follow-up activity and maintains accurate, timely records of customer contacts, outcomes, and next steps in designated systems. They communicate clearly with prospects, customers, leaders, and internal client teams to support sales execution and resolve routine issues. The specialist follows approved scripts, pricing, promotions, disclosures, privacy requirements, and client or company policies. They participate in virtual meetings, sales coaching, training, and performance discussions. The specialist maintains a professional, secure, and distraction-controlled remote work environment and remains accessible during scheduled work hours. They escalate customer, system, or compliance concerns through established channels and perform other job-related duties consistent with the purpose and level of the position.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Prior customer-facing sales, telesales, inside sales, retail, business-to-business, telecommunications, or comparable experience is preferred. The specialist has the ability to conduct persuasive, customer-focused sales conversations and ask effective discovery questions. They possess strong verbal and written communication, active listening, interpersonal, and objection-handling skills. The specialist works independently, manages time, prioritizes follow-up activity, and meets measurable goals in a remote environment. They are proficient using a computer and common business applications, including email, spreadsheets, virtual meeting tools, and customer or lead-management systems. The specialist has the ability to learn and accurately communicate product, service, pricing, promotional, and process information. They demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, sound judgment, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Bilingual capability may be preferred or required based on business necessity.

Remote work and technology requirements include the ability to work remotely from an approved location with a workspace that supports confidentiality, productivity, and professional customer interactions. The specialist needs reliable high-speed internet service that meets company and client technical requirements. They must use company-provided or company-approved computer, telephone, headset, security, and connectivity tools, as applicable. The specialist remains connected, responsive, and available during assigned working hours and follows remote-work, information-security, and data-privacy requirements.

Physical requirements include primarily performing the role in a remote office environment with extended periods of computer and telephone use. The employee must communicate effectively, operate standard office technology, and perform repetitive keyboard and mouse activity. The role may require occasional movement or lifting of standard office equipment or materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
