Registered Nurse RN Resource Team

Position Summary The Resource Team RN will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The role supports clinical needs across multiple units (Progressive Care, Med/Surg, Outpatient Observation, and more) within Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South Tucson campuses. Core Functions Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history, diagnostics, and laboratory results, and report abnormalities. Formulate and periodically revise a patient‑centered plan of care, including discharge plans, based on assessment data and interdisciplinary input. Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate patient and family response to care, teaching, and outcomes; modify care plans as needed. Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record with legible, timely, and policy‑compliant entries. Provide evidence‑based care and may participate in research activities; involve in education, role development, and orientation of personnel, patients, families, and visitors. Contribute to society by participating in quality improvement activities and professional organizations to advance patient outcomes. Supervise staff and workflow in some instances of the role. Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts across various settings to coordinate care, including spiritual support via clergy. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or temporary/interim or compact RN license for the state of practice. BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on area of practice. Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the work area. For Banner Registry and Travel acute‑care positions, a minimum of one year experience in an acute‑care hospital; experience must include work in an acute‑care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. For other Banner positions, fingerprint clearance cards may be required (essential for certain behavioral health, hospice, and campus‑specific roles). Maintain required clearance throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred. Benefits Pay includes a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. Float Pool RNs also receive an additional $3/hr float incentive on top of base pay. Eligible for a variety of health, financial, and security benefits through Banner Health.
