Associate Project Manager

Job Description Responsible for implementing and monitoring compliance with accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls related to project accounting. Responsible for recording and reconciliation of all general ledger transactions and related accounts. Review, prepare, and document analysis of project estimates to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for project cost tracking, analysis, and reporting for decision support. Perceive current construction industry best practices and implement relevant changes. Coordinate and lead monthly financial and job status review meetings with clients and internal project Team. Understand contract terms and conditions, knowledgeable of contractual requirements, and recognize discrepancies. Work on special projects as requested; assist with external and internal audit preparation. Interface with Project Managers and management on all aspects of construction accounting. Live in the greater Baltimore, MD area. Ability to travel to client office in Baltimore, MD for biweekly or monthly project status meetings. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and upper management. Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles. Ability to think creatively, highly-driven, and self-motivated. Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software. Background in utilities, construction, or engineering services Experience in a controller or financial analyst-type role supporting projects Exposure to gas distribution or installation projects Familiarity with pipeline / pipe cost structures and estimating (strong plus) Experience working with contractors or subcontractors #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
