Critical Power Service Sales

Job Location: Hutto, Austin – Hutto, TX 78634 Position Title: Critical Power PM Sales Specialist Reporting to: Sales Manager Department: Sales Job Summary This sales position focuses on Preventive Maintenance Contracts for our Critical Power Division, including Emergency Standby Generators by Hipower Systems, a Yanmar company, and other brands. Responsibilities Cultivate sales opportunities with new and existing accounts. Use generator knowledge to help customers understand the importance of PM contracts. Develop new relationships with key user groups, including electrical contractors, electrical engineers, and end users. Establish working relationships with local trade associations and user groups. Operate as an outside sales professional, spending as much time as possible in the field interacting with contractors, consulting engineers, and end users. Create and prepare quotations for projects as needed. Diligently follow through and follow up on every opportunity. Collaborate with inside sales staff to manage projects throughout the entire sales cycle. Actively maintain customer data and sales activity in the company’s CRM. Work collaboratively with other sales disciplines within the company to hand off leads of other products. Communicate closely with the branch service department after the commissioning of every new unit sale to present a Preventative Maintenance Agreement for customer aftersales support. Participate in overnight travel as needed for sales calls, meetings, and training. Work under deadlines and remain flexible in working hours as dictated by customer needs and schedules. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Solid understanding of basic generator and electrical distribution principles. Strong attention to detail and diligent follow‑through. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Explorer, PowerPoint, etc.). Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical industry in sales or field service roles; direct experience with generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution systems, or switching systems preferred. Prior work experience and industry relationships within the local market strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive working environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel and work irregular schedules as needed. Work Conditions This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. It may also require pushing, pulling, twisting, and lifting 50+ lbs., working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels. Employees may be assigned other tasks as needed.
