The Opportunity The Account Manager is the primary relationship owner for assigned customers. You're not just managing accounts; you're acting as a trusted extension of their engineering organization. Martin Company's customers bring us complex electronics, firmware, and systems challenges. They need a partner who understands the technical landscape — someone who can speak their language, anticipate what's coming, and make sure our team stays aligned with what matters to them. This role sits at the intersection of customer relationships, technical understanding, and internal coordination. The right person is naturally relationship-driven, comfortable in engineering conversations, and wired for ownership and follow-through. What You'll Do Customer Relationship Management Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts Build long-term, trust-based relationships with customers Understand customer engineering, production, and business needs Proactively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities Sales & Revenue Growth Identify new opportunities within existing accounts (upsell/cross-sell) Develop and execute account plans aligned with revenue targets Support proposal development, quoting, and pricing strategies Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new business Own the full sales cycle—from inquiry and quoting through order execution Quoting & Solution Development Prepare accurate, timely quotes aligned with customer requirements Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop tailored solutions Project Coordination Collaborate with engineering, project management, production, and supply chain teams to deliver customer projects Ensure accurate transfer of customer requirements into internal systems Monitor project timelines, scope, and deliverables Escalate issues and drive resolution proactively Operational Alignment Maintain visibility into backlog, forecasts, and demand planning Coordinate with internal teams to meet customer delivery expectations Help prioritize work based on strategic account importance Continuous Improvement Gather customer feedback and drive improvement initiatives Support efforts to improve lead time, quality, and customer experience Contribute to process improvements in quoting, project management, and communication What You'll Bring Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of account management, project management, or sales experience Experience working with electronics, engineering, manufacturing, or technical products Highly Valued: Background in custom engineering, controls, or industrial systems Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects CRM and ERP system experience Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement Core Competencies Strong relationship-building and communication skills Ability to translate technical concepts into business discussions High level of ownership and accountability Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Why Join Martin Company Be part of an engineering team that acts as a true partner to customers Work on complex, custom projects from concept through manufacturing Collaborative culture built on respect, ownership, and innovation Opportunity to grow with a company expanding capabilities and market reach Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
