IT Operations Technician

Keep Manufacturing Connected—One System at a Time Where Technology Meets the Factory Floor Location: Crawfordsville, IN (Work is onsite - MUST be local for consideration) | Schedule: 1st shift 8am to 5pm | Payrate: $30 - $35 (depending on experience) PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a top-tier manufacturing leader to hire an IT Operations Technician who thrives in hands-on, fast-paced environments. In this role, you’ll be the frontline support for enterprise-wide IT systems—ensuring employees stay connected, systems stay reliable, and operations run safely and efficiently. Your work will directly support the technology backbone of a manufacturing organization where uptime, responsiveness, and safety truly matter. What You’ll Do As an IT Operations Technician, you’ll support users, systems, and infrastructure across the enterprise. Responsibilities include: Providing technical support to employees via phone, email, chat, ticketing systems, and in-person support for onsite staff Supporting remote locations with timely and effective IT assistance Ordering, configuring, deploying, and maintaining IT equipment; managing returned, loaner, and surplus hardware Assisting with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and licensing of software and applications Troubleshooting and maintaining IT infrastructure including laptops, desktops, phones, printers, servers, conference room systems, access control, and network devices Creating and supporting user accounts and group memberships Procuring, configuring, distributing, and troubleshooting mobile devices Participating in IT projects and performing additional duties as assigned Working a rotational on-call schedule, including evenings and weekends as required Upholding all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards—safety is a top priority Must obtain AZ-900 Certification, MD-102, and AZ-104 Certification within the first year Required Qualifications 1+ year of technical experience supporting end users (computers/laptops, desk phones, mobile phones, printers) IT-related associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently Excellent communication and customer service skills Proven accountability, dependability, and teamwork mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related applications Hands-on experience assembling, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals Experience supporting networking equipment, conference room A/V systems, and security systems (cameras, badge access) Familiarity with workstation imaging tools and MDM solutions such as Intune Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment Prior helpdesk or customer support experience IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ Ready to Power the Systems Behind the Operation?
