Vegan Lunch Chef

We are looking for a dedicated part-time vegan lunch chef who would enjoy preparing our menu items, and helping create new specials with our team.

Pay is $24 - $26 based on experience. We are looking for a candidate who preferably has at least 2 years of professional kitchen experience, and has good habits. You should be able to faithfully prep our breakfast and lunch menu items, which are mostly panini sandwiches, wraps, and protein salads, along with some simple but creative breakfast items. Interest in baking is a plus as well.
You should be excited to work with our manager and our chef to create and write recipes, meet our deadlines, and prepare bi-monthly specials.
You should have or be willing to get a City of Chicago food manager license, and have good clean-as-you-go habits
It's good to have a sense of urgency and getting the job done, as we want to keep our nice customers happy and healthy.

You should have the ability to work autonomously and with a team. Good communication with your coworkers, the chef, and the manager is important to us. You should be able to create lists for our inventory, and help create systems that keep our operation smooth.
Bonus if you enjoy talking with customers, can handle payment, and have some coffee and barista experience. This job is ideal for someone who enjoys spending time cooking for customers they know, and are willing to try things and develop ideas with us to attract new ones.
