QC Scientist I 2nd shift 4PM-12AM

A Top-Tier Life Sciences Innovator in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking a dedicated QC Scientist I for a 2nd shift opportunity (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM). This 6-month contract role offers hands-on experience in a high-throughput, cutting-edge laboratory environment.

responsibilities:

• Perform fit-for-purpose, in-line, and finished product release testing using various analytical chemistry techniques.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis and operate laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Document and report all analytical testing data in the LIMS database and laboratory notebooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Assist in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations by performing relevant testing and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement activities by applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Maintain general laboratory housekeeping and safely lift up to 40 lbs. as required.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional biotech, chemistry, or pharmaceutical industry experience.

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with wet chemistry and basic analytical instruments.
• Familiarity with compendial testing methods (ACS, USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, FCC).
• Experience using Lean methods for problem-solving and process improvement.
