Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Technician Job Overview Key Responsibilities Perform field testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with industry standards and project requirements Inspect materials on-site and accurately document results through detailed daily reports Operate testing equipment and follow established procedures to ensure reliable data collection Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to support testing and inspection activities Work in a physically active environment, including lifting, climbing, bending, and navigating uneven terrain Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction materials testing or related construction field Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Basic understanding of construction drawings and site plans Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to job sites Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Preferred Qualifications NCDOT certifications ACI Field Technician Level I Nuclear Gauge User Certification NICET Level I (Soils, Concrete, or Asphalt) Previous field experience in construction or engineering Work Environment & Benefits Employees are supported with: Competitive pay Company vehicle and cell phone allowance Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Gastonia, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $53000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
