Business Operations Lead Location: Austin, TX. Role: Full-time, On-site. Overview Handoff is the AI agent that runs a construction company. Our team is distributed across hubs in Austin, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires, and we are deeply focused on building intuitive, high‑impact solutions that make a real difference for our users. Responsibilities Facilitate Handoff’s departmental planning process—driving submissions, tracking progress, and holding teams accountable. Maintain and continuously improve company‑wide dashboards, KPIs, and operational tooling. Support the COO on board decks, investor updates, and executive materials. Build and maintain financial models; help prepare analysis for key business decisions. Track departmental budgets and flag spend variances to the COO. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals. Codify work norms and operating standards as the company scales. Assist with prep and logistics for company all‑hands meetings and recurring leadership syncs. Assist with planning and execution of internal events and company off‑sites. Qualifications Background in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or an early‑stage startup. Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level simultaneously—able to build a board deck in the morning and chase down a contract renewal in the afternoon. Financial modeling skills—build from scratch, not just edit templates. Strong written communicator—memos and decks are clear, tight, and ready to send.
