Job Description

Boothwyn Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead pharmacy operations within a high-growth, multi-state 503A compounding environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations governing sterile and non-sterile compounding, while overseeing daily pharmacy operations, staff performance, and inspection readiness.

The PIC will partner closely with Quality Assurance and leadership to maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership

Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge in accordance with applicable state laws and licensure requirements
Ensure compliance with USP <795> , <797> , <800> , FDA 503A, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Act as primary contact for inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries
Maintain inspection readiness at all times

Pharmacy Operations Oversight

Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations
Ensure adherence to SOPs, Master Formulation Records (MFRs), and Compounding Records (CRs)
Monitor cleanroom operations, environmental controls, and documentation
Support production scheduling and operational readiness

Quality & Compliance Partnership

Partner with Quality Assurance on:
Deviations, investigations, CAPA, and complaints
Recalls, quarantines, and compliance reporting
Review operational documentation and compounding activities

Team Leadership & Training

Supervise pharmacists, technicians, and compounding staff
Ensure completion of all required training and competency assessments
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements
Support workflow optimization and operational efficiency
Contribute to resource planning and team development

Qualifications

Active Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania (required)
Ability to obtain licensure in multiple states
Experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding (USP <797> , <795> , <800>)
Strong knowledge of FDA 503A regulations
Previous PIC or leadership experience preferred
