Senior Product Manager, Agent 365 Tools

As organizations connect agents to a fast-growing ecosystem of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers plugins skills connectors and custom integrations the ability to onboard discover and govern those tools becomes essential to enterprise trust. Today this is a fragmented and fast-emerging space. Were looking for a leader who can bring coherence to this tools governance story.

We are looking for a Senior Product Managerto own the tool governance experience in Agent 365 the product that lets customers inventory register tools discover unsanctioned ones and apply consistent policy and controls across them. You will turn a fast-emerging space into a coherent governance value and ship these capabilities that make agent tooling safe for regulated and sovereign customers.

This is a high-ownership high-ambiguity role at the center of how enterprises adopt agents with confidence. Youll partner across engineering design security and compliance to define the strategy shape the roadmap and deliver experiences that set the standard for trustworthy agent tooling.

Own the strategy and roadmap for tool onboarding and governance including registry experience for plugins skills connectors and customer-supplied tool packages.

Engage with customers to understand governance and compliance requirements and translate them into clear prioritized product investments.

Define granular governance controls for agent tools

Deliver discovery and observability for unsanctioned/Shadow AI tools giving customers visibility into tools operating outside sanctioned channels along with usage and activity insights.

Build governance capabilities for regulated and sovereign environments including support for government cloud and runtime audit evidence for legal security and compliance stakeholders.

Partner closely with the different product teams within Microsoft to have coherent tool governance and security solutions with a seamless and engaging experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree AND 5 years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft customer and/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree AND 8 years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

• Product management experience on developer platforms extensibility ecosystems governance experiences or compliance capabilities.

• Familiarity with the AI tooling ecosystem (agent extensibility plugins and connectors) oradjacent platform-governance domains.
• Experience delivering discovery observability or policy-enforcement features for enterprisecustomers.
• Familiarity with regulated and sovereign requirements such as government cloud audit andcompliance evidence.
• Collaboration skills and clear written and verbal communication

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119800 - $234700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160200 - $261000 per year.
