Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

This role involves assembling industrial lubrication equipment and paint sprayers by following detailed work orders, blueprints, and work instructions. You will work as part of a collaborative team in a large manufacturing environment and may rotate between departments based on your skills. The position requires frequent use of hand and power tools, handling components weighing 50 pounds or more, and standing for the majority of the shift while working on high-volume assembly lines.

• Assemble industrial lubrication equipment, paint sprayers, hose reel lines, and motor air pump (fireball) lines by following blueprints, work orders, and written work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools such as air drivers with sockets, wrenches, drills, and other assembly tools to complete mechanical assemblies accurately and safely.
• Measure and align parts using tape measures, schematics, and other layout tools to ensure proper fit and function of assembled products.
• Follow established assembly line processes and production schedules to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
• Lift, move, and position pumps and other components weighing 50 pounds or more as part of the hose line and related assembly operations.
• Work on your feet and remain standing throughout the shift while performing repetitive assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members and support different departments as needed, adapting to changing assignments based on production demands and your skillset.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent injuries and equipment damage.
• Identify basic mechanical issues or assembly errors and communicate them to the appropriate personnel for correction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by following process improvement initiatives and supporting safety and quality programs.

• At least 3 months of manufacturing experience or experience using hand and power tools in a similar environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions accurately.
• Capability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies and components.
• Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers in an assembly setting.
• Experience using power tools such as drills and air drivers safely and effectively.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive tasks in a physical, fast-paced environment.
• Basic ability to read and interpret schematics and measurements using tape measures and related tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality procedures.

• Previous mechanical assembly or assembly line experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and rotate between departments as needed.
• Comfort working with industrial equipment such as pumps, hose reels, and motor air pumps.
• Interest in developing technical or trade skills for future growth opportunities.
• General labor experience in a production or warehouse setting.

The role is based in a large, well-lit, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work on an assembly line and remain on your feet throughout the shift, performing physical tasks such as lifting and positioning components. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ANOKA, MN.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
