Water/Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to support the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects across water supply, wastewater collection, treatment and related civil engineering systems. This role will suit an engineer who can contribute to projects from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction support and commissioning. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and technical specialists to develop practical, sustainable and cost-effective solutions that meet regulatory, safety and performance requirements.
Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and schedules; undertaking hydraulic modelling and network assessments; supporting the design of pipelines, pumping stations, treatment facilities, storage assets and associated infrastructure; and contributing to asset management, condition assessments and options evaluations. You will help coordinate project deliverables, monitor progress, manage technical risks and provide engineering advice during procurement and construction. The role may also involve site inspections, stakeholder meetings, responding to technical queries and supporting the preparation of bids, fee proposals and project programmes.
Applicants should hold a degree in civil, environmental, water or wastewater engineering, or a closely related discipline, together with relevant professional experience in the water sector. Experience with hydraulic modelling software, design standards, technical documentation and industry regulations is desirable. You should have strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional registration or progress towards registration is advantageous. A commitment to health and safety, environmental responsibility, quality assurance and continuous professional development is essential.
