Medical Administration Specialist

Job Title: Medical Administration Specialist Location: 10th Medical Group, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado, 80840 Tentative Start Date: December 1, 2025 Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 0600–1700, excluding federal holidays Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, information management, or a related medical discipline is required Experience: Minimum 12 months of experience in medical administration or healthcare office operations required Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHR GENESIS Ability to type 30–40 words per minute Experience with budget preparation and management is preferred Experience in ophthalmology clinic or supply management a plus License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication in English Documents Required for Submission Updated Resume (with all gaps explained) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Responsibilities Perform administrative and clerical support functions within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Manage daily operations of the Refractive Surgery Center, including ordering and maintaining required forms and supplies Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, and medical statements Support budget proposals, monitor expenditures, and assist in managing clinic finances Maintain patient and administrative records in compliance with HIPAA and DHA policies Coordinate with healthcare staff and leadership to support clinic operations and patient careUse EHR GENESIS and other military databases to input and retrieve patient and administrative data Assist with presentation preparation, training materials, and administrative projects as needed Provide customer service support to patients and staff, answering questions and assisting with administrative processes Ensure all work is performed in compliance with DoD, DHA, and MTF procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr Le CYR Consulting
