- Remote job
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Brand Partnerships - Pacific Northwest based in the United States.
The Director of Brand Partnerships will drive advertising revenue growth by introducing innovative video advertising solutions to major brands and agencies across the Pacific Northwest. This role focuses on building new business opportunities across TV, over-the-top (OTT), connected TV (CTV), and digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising channels. You will develop strategic relationships with leading advertisers, agency partners, and programmatic buying teams while educating the market on emerging ways to reach audiences beyond traditional television. As a hands-on sales leader, you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation, closing, and renewals. Working in a collaborative, high-growth environment, you will build a substantial client portfolio and create tailored campaigns that deliver measurable value. This remote opportunity requires a Seattle-based professional who can maintain strong in-market relationships across the Pacific Northwest, the Bay Area, and Portland.
Accountabilities:
The Director of Brand Partnerships will lead new business development and revenue generation across a dynamic advertising territory, combining strategic relationship building, consultative selling, and market development. Key responsibilities include:
- Own the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing, and renewing advertising accounts.
- Build a multi-million-dollar book of business from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition and pipeline development.
- Present and sell video advertising opportunities across television, OTT/CTV, and DOOH inventory, articulating both insertion order (IO) and programmatic direct buying options.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with major advertisers, agency partners, programmatic teams, and direct clients across the Pacific Northwest, Bay Area, and Portland.
- Introduce innovative advertising solutions to brands and agencies, helping them understand how to allocate video advertising budgets effectively across emerging platforms.
- Build relationships with major regional advertisers, particularly in technology, telecommunications, e-commerce, travel, and apparel.
- Evaluate incoming requests for proposals (RFPs), prioritizing opportunities with strong revenue potential and long-term relationship value.
- Drive proactive outreach and coordinate with sales support teams to maximize prospecting efficiency and conversion.
- Use data analytics, audience insights, and campaign performance information to strengthen client presentations and sales narratives.
- Maintain accurate customer relationship management (CRM) records and manage all sales activities associated with the assigned client portfolio.
- Develop innovative, client-specific campaign strategies that create differentiated opportunities and generate measurable business value.
- Gather client feedback, identify market needs, and communicate recommendations to sales leadership.
- Monitor advertising industry trends, conferences, emerging technologies, and market opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Represent the business at industry events and client meetings, traveling regularly and participating in relationship-building activities outside standard working hours when needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, contributing to a team-first culture while independently managing territory development and sales objectives.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is an accomplished advertising sales professional with a strong track record of new business acquisition, established relationships with major brands and agencies, and the ability to develop a territory independently. They should combine commercial drive with consultative selling, exceptional presentation skills, and a collaborative approach to client and team relationships. Required qualifications include:
- Four to eight years of demonstrated success in advertising sales, including experience selling both insertion order and programmatic direct advertising.
- Established relationships with major companies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, ideally including organizations such as Amazon, T-Mobile, Microsoft, and Starbucks.
- Experience selling advertising solutions to clients in technology, telecommunications, e-commerce, travel, and apparel.
- Strong relationships with leading advertising agencies, such as Spark, WPP, and Publicis, or established direct relationships with major brands that can generate immediate business opportunities.
- Verifiable client references who can speak to professional credibility, relationship strength, and a consistent record of sales results.
- Proven ability to build a multi-million-dollar book of business from scratch, with a clear focus on prospecting, new account acquisition, and revenue generation rather than managing an existing portfolio.
- Experience selling an emerging, unconventional, or differentiated media platform, ideally within a startup or similarly fast-moving environment.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, develop a sales territory from the ground up, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly for industry conferences, events, and in-person client meetings.
- Flexibility to entertain clients outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support relationship development.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage numerous accounts and sales opportunities effectively.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, including the ability to tailor pitch materials to individual clients and close deals by addressing specific business needs.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, resilient, and innovative mindset, with the ability to learn from challenges, rejection, and unsuccessful sales efforts.
- Current residence in Seattle, Washington, with the ability to build and maintain direct client relationships across the Pacific Northwest, Bay Area, and Portland.
Experience in television, video advertising, and/or digital out-of-home media is highly desirable.
Benefits:
- Base salary ranging from $170,000 to $180,000 per year, plus commission.
- Potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Company equity.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
- Competitive insurance plans.
- Flexible time off policy.
- Remote working arrangement with the requirement to be based in Seattle, Washington.
- Opportunity to develop a new advertising channel and build strategic partnerships with major brands and agencies.
- High-impact sales role with significant ownership over territory development, client relationships, and new business generation.
