Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a General Maintenance for our client. This job is responsible for performing all facilities and production-related maintenance in support of Metallizing operations. Responsibilities vary greatly, and will include minor mechanical repairs, plumbing, facilities upkeep, filter changes, emptying trash and recycling cardboard, among other needs. 

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Perform minor mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Perform basic maintenance and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Clean equipment, paint booths, and associated modules.
• Replace filters and assist with equipment movement.
• Handle daily trash and cardboard recycling.
• Maintain department cleanliness and support 5S activities.
• Stack and organize skids and empty totes and move materials to designated areas.
• Document completed work and parts usage in the CMMS.
• Communicate maintenance issues requiring intervention or escalation.
• Support production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work overtime, including short-notice requests when needed.
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Windows experience is a plus.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Knowledge of paint systems is a plus.
• Experience with pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in an indoor industrial environment with noise, vibration, temperature changes, fumes, solvents, dust, and other industrial conditions.
• Ability to follow required PPE and safety procedures, including safety glasses, protective clothing, and appropriate gloves.
