Job Title: Phlebotomist II Location: Buffalo, MN Duration: 3+ Month Shift: Monday-Friday 9 am-5:30 pm Job Description The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in for health routine or life‑defining health decisions. The PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence, sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or where business needs dictate. Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic info and initials, including patient signature post‑venipuncture to confirm tubes are labeled in the patient's presence and the label is correct. Maintain required records and documentation. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public. Job Requirements Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on‑site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime. Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment. Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record if applicable. Travel and flexible hours required to work multiple locations and cover Patient Service Center/In‑Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting. Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors and patients; accelerate and embrace change; and possess knowledge of our business. Training Locations Training locations may vary based on trainer’s availability. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED). Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
