Your future role at a glance Location: Burnet, TX Facility: Ascension Seton Highland Lakes Department/Specialty: PACU Schedule: Day | Full Time 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm daily. Must be able to flex start and stop times. Call component required, one Friday/Sat/Sun and 4 week days per month. How you'll make an impact in this role Deliver direct patient care as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse, monitoring recovery and stabilizing patients after surgical procedures. Assess patient responses to anesthesia, treatments, and interventions while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the post-operative period. Manage patient pain and recovery needs using clinical judgment, quality improvement practices, and established Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse standards. Implement aseptic and sterile techniques according to AORN and ASPAN standards to protect patient safety and maintain high-quality direct patient care. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required. What additional requirements you'll need 2+ years of PACU/ER/ICU RN experience ACLS and PALS. ASPAN certification a plus Flexible to work Preop and other duties Able to work in high stress fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills combined with teamwork.
