Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Full-Time | New Haven, CT
About the Opportunity
Join a respected facilities services team supporting a large, modern medical office campus in New Haven. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician who takes pride in maintaining critical building systems and enjoys working in a stable, professional environment.
You'll work with a variety of commercial HVAC equipment while becoming part of a company that values technical expertise, safety, and long-term career growth.
What You'll Do
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Service boilers, air handling units (AHUs), pumps, cooling towers, heat pumps, and DX systems.
Monitor and work with building automation and controls systems.
Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and service documentation.
Assist with general building maintenance projects as needed.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.
Required Qualifications
EPA Refrigerant Certification.
Five (5)+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Experience servicing boilers, AHUs, pumps, cooling towers, heat pumps, and DX systems.
Working knowledge of building automation and controls systems.
Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in hospitals, medical office buildings, or large commercial facilities.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
