Operations Technician

Operate studio, robotic, handheld, and jib cameras Perform audio mixing and transmission operations, including coordinating live shots, feeds, and recordings Prepare the studio for broadcast and shut it down afterward Run the teleprompter and follow camera cues, time cues, and cut-ins Set up microphones and operate audio consoles Collaborate with Directors and Anchors Manage studio guests Deliver work within newscast deadlines Requirements Minimum of 2 years TV production and operations experience in a similar size market or comparable operation to those at KCNC Live television or similar broadcast experience Ability to work well with others in stressful environments and circumstances Ability to work under pressure and on a deadline Ability to stand for several hours at a time, sit, lift 25 lbs. and climb ladders Valid drivers license Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in operating various camera types and audio equipment for live television production, while effectively collaborating with team members under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
