Part‑time Retail Associate – Murrieta Location: 25060 Madison Avenue, Murrieta, California, 92562, United States Starting Rate: $16.90 per hour Join our Smart & Final store operations team as a Part‑time Retail Associate – Murrieta. Responsibilities Maintain a store section and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment). Ensure proper pricing, check product date codes for rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases. Prepare perishable products for sale as needed. Set up advertising and promotional displays. Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management. Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers, giving current store and product information. When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, such as recording lost or damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools. Qualifications Read and write English; interact with the general public and co‑workers. Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, price codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra credit).
