That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Burbank, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials or visitor access when required, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete routine reports and activity logs, provide directions and assistance to the public, and support daily operations in accordance with post instructions and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
