Cardiac Cath Lab TechnicianCedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors in April 2025 as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (Full-Time, Days). Our ideal candidate will fulfill the needs of patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training and regulatory requirements. Responds effectively to new and changing work assignments.Job Duties:Deliver care to the patient in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.Assess, observes, report, and record signs and symptoms indicative of changes in the general condition of the patient.Assess, observe, and report pertinent and significant patient responses to treatments and/or procedures.Provide patient and/or family members with explanation of condition as necessary and written information when possible.Recognize and utilize opportunities for health teaching of patients and relatives.Participate, as requested, in on-unit clinical orientation of supplemental and/or new staff to include principles related to patient care management.Operate the Physiological Monitor, Philips Radiography Equipment, and Intra-Vascular Ultra Sound Cardiac Defibrillator, Aortic Balloon Pump, and other added equipment used in the day-to-day operation of the Cath Lab.Recognize cardiac dysrhythmias and inform physicians and nurses.Perform a variety of clinical interventions as specified in the department's competency/skills checklist.Responsible for taking calls and performing the duties required by the patient and physician.Responsible for quality control of all technology equipment located in the cardiac Cath Lab.Transport patients and clean room/stretchers as required.Perform a variety of service and administrative tasks.As a Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center employee, you will be part of an exceptional team with the following benefit offerings: Challenging and rewarding work environment Competitive Compensation & Generous Paid Time Off Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plans 401(K) with company match and discounted stock plan SoFi Student Loan Refinancing Program Career development opportunities within UHS and its 300+ Subsidiaries!
