Lauder Institute Alumni Association (LIAA) ~60-80 hours/month | U.S. Based

\n

Remote/Possible Hybrid Work | Mission-Driven Nonprofit

\n

LIAA is seeking an energetic part-time Head of Operations. The ideal candidate is strategically

\n

minded, tech savvy, and has a successful track record of planning and executing projects with

\n

limited direction. Project management skills are a must. Reporting to the Board President, this is

\n

the operational backbone of LIAA—driving programs, engagement, administration, and

\n

governance in alignment with our mission. (This is a 1099 independent contractor role).

\n

\n

Program Development & Execution – 45% of role

\n

● Leads alumni programming and engagement initiatives in accordance with LIAA’s goals

\n

and guidelines and in collaboration with LIAA Board, committees and volunteers.

\n

● Engages volunteers (Class Captains, Lauder Regional Ambassadors) and Lauder

\n

stakeholders to develop scalable initiatives and events (e.g., webinars, affinity groups,

\n

in-person events).

\n

● Acts as the point of contact for LIAA programming events by alumni, the Institute,

\n

Lauder/Wharton External Affairs (‘EA”), Class Captains, Lauder Regional Ambassadors.

\n

\n

Marketing & Engagement – 20% of role

\n

Enhances LIAA’s image to expand interest and support of LIAA’s Mission and Goals.

\n

● Develops plan and coordinates all marketing: communications, website, newsletters,

\n

announcements, and social media.

\n

● Proactively updates LIAA website, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and other marketing channels to

\n

drive engagement.

\n

\n

Operations/Admin/Oversight of Consultant(s) – 15% of role

\n

● Fosters a positive and productive LIAA environment, including alumni community, volunteers,

\n

and Board members.

\n

● Oversees the day-to-day operations & programming execution: calendars, databases,

\n

committee lists, and tech tools.

\n

● Supervises consultants, manages deliverables, and optimizes systems for efficiency

\n

through strong tech-savvy skillsets.

\n

● Actively engages in assessing whether better technology databases and systems exist to

\n

improve operations and reduce costs

\n

\n

Financial Stewardship – 10% of role

\n

● Actively supports the Treasurer and Finance Committee with budget tracking, contract

\n

review, and risk management and behaves in a financially responsible manner.

\n

● Collaborates on Strategic, Operating and Financial plans in conjunction with the Board.

\n

\n

Board Relations/Governance/Professionalization/Fundraising – 10% of role

\n

● Collaborates with & supports Board initiatives and strategic direction.

\n

● Attends Board meetings and provides monthly Board updates.

\n

● Supports Board Fund Raising Chair.

\n

\n

Qualifications & Skills

\n

● U.S. based (ideally East Coast) with the ability to legally work in the U.S.

\n

● Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit or alumni association experience and

\n

mindset strongly preferred.

\n

● Resourceful, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with a track record of supporting

\n

mission-driven organizations.

\n

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diplomatically with

\n

alumni, volunteers, and institutional partners.

\n

● Highly organized with proven ability to independently manage multiple projects / deadlines.

\n

● Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and association management

\n

systems (e.g. Wild Apricot).

\n

● Strong command of Google Drive’s features, functionalities, and tools.

\n

● Tech savvy with ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly.

\n

● Does not need to be a member of the Lauder Institute community.
