Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Shift is: Mon-Fri - 8:30am-5pm Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced shop environment and capable of performing a wide range of maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment and transport units.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on diesel-powered equipmentPerform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service workRepair and maintain hydraulic systems, steering components, suspension systems, and driveline assembliesTroubleshoot and repair air brake systems and lighting/electrical faultsComplete tire service and general mechanical repairsPerform welding and fabrication work as neededService HVAC and air conditioning systems on fleet equipmentMaintain accurate repair documentation and communicate equipment needs effectivelyRequirements:Minimum 2 years of experience in diesel, heavy equipment, trailer, or fleet maintenance requiredAbility to safely use diagnostic and repair equipmentClass A CDL is preferred but not requiredCandidates must provide their own standard hand tools; specialty and shop equipment are supplied by the companyWorking knowledge of: Hydraulics Air brake systems Electrical diagnostics Diesel engines Suspension and steering systems Preventative maintenance procedures Welding and fabrication
