Position Overview

Taylor Corporation is seeking dependable General Production / Packaging Associates to support its production operations in Fenton, MO.

This entry-level, hands-on production position involves assembly, packaging, labeling, quality inspection, palletizing, and general production support . Associates will work with printed materials and finished products while following specific job instructions and established quality and safety procedures.

Previous production experience is not required. We encourage dependable candidates who can follow instructions and are comfortable doing repetitive, hands-on work to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various manual production and assembly operations.
• Apply labels to products accurately according to job specifications.
• Cut, wrap, tape, assemble, and package products.
• Use tape dispensers and other basic production tools and equipment.
• Pack finished products into boxes and securely tape boxes for shipping.
• Inspect products during packaging to identify quality defects.
• Fold and tape boxes and prepare packaging materials.
• Perform basic quality-control checks, including:
• • Product and package counts
  • Measuring and weighing
  • Evaluating product and package appearance
  • Basic strength or quality checks
• Stack completed boxes and materials on pallets according to instructions.
• Move and transport printed materials at various stages of production.
• Read and follow specific job instructions to ensure orders are completed according to specifications.
• Position materials and assist with basic job setup.
• Assist with loading and delivering materials within the production area.
• Clean equipment and surrounding work areas as required.
• Assist with monitoring equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Float between departments and provide production support wherever needed.
• Maintain dependable attendance and work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Follow all established safety rules, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform other general production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No previous production experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow job instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to perform repetitive production and packaging tasks.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and work in different departments as needed.
• Ability to follow established procedures and work under direct supervision.

Work Environment

This is an active production position. Duties will primarily be performed while standing , although some tasks may occasionally be completed while seated.

The position may involve repetitive hand movements and using foot controls for certain production equipment.

Training

• Initial training: Approximately 1 week or less
• Expected time to reach normal productivity: Approximately 2 weeks or less

This position suits candidates new to manufacturing or production who want hands-on experience.
