Pharmacy Technician — Madison Heights, MI

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a  Pharmacy Technician in  Madison Heights, MI (48071) . This is a  full-time (40+ hrs/week), W2 contract role with growth potential.

Compensation & Differentials

• $24.45/hour (W2)
• Shift differential (when applicable):
• • Shift 2: +$1.00/hr
  • Shift 3: +$2.50/hr
• Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days
• 401(k) + company match available to eligible employees with 1 year of service

Schedule / Hours

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• On-site

What You’ll Do

• Fill prescription items; package medications for dispensing/delivery
• Label products accurately (including auxiliary/caution labels)
• Prep medications, including  non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.)
• Enter patient/prescription data to generate labels
• Support inventory processes (stock checks, remove expired meds)
• Process returned medications per pharmacy protocol
• Communicate professionally with internal/external customers
• Assist with onboarding/training of new pharmacy staff
• Work in specialized areas (including  Controlled Drugs/Narcotics Room as assigned)
• Operate automated machines used to prepack medications
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment as needed
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)
• Maintain a clean/safe work environment; check equipment for calibration/safety/cleanliness

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician license (per state requirements)
• Previous pharmacy experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to operate a computer and identify medications accurately
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Team-oriented with effective communication
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred

• Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience
• Compounding, IV prep, and/or medication packaging experience
