Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Pre-Op / PACU Registered Nurses to support our ambulatory surgery centers.

This role is ideal for a motivated RN who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and values teamwork, patient care, and consistency in clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for outpatient surgery
• Start and maintain IV access and complete required pre-op documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop individualized patient care plans
• Carry out physician orders and monitor patients throughout perioperative care
• Assess surgical sites and dressings, escalating concerns to surgeons as needed
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and a positive surgical experience
• Confirm patients meet discharge criteria prior to release
• Provide clear, patient-specific discharge instructions to patients and families
• Conduct post-operative follow-up phone calls to support recovery and outcomes

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing (Tennessee or compact state)
• BLS certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• ACLS certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• PALS certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• Pre-Op / PACU experience preferred (ER or ICU experience also considered)
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Team-oriented, dependable, and professional demeanor
