Manager, Residential Services

The Manager will provide daily management, supervision, and policy implementation for the residential treatment center while supervising the direct care staff. The Manager will ensure best practices and guidelines are adhered to by all staff members and ensure the safety and well‑being of all Signature Health clients. How You’ll Succeed Effectively manage and oversee the daily clinical and administrative objectives and 24/7 staffing of the Residential Services team at your assigned location(s). Management support may be required for alternate locations on an as‑needed basis for backup coverage. May be responsible for ongoing coverage of multiple residential sites in collaboration with the Supervisor Behavioral Health, Residential. Be actively engaged when overseeing team members’ individual performance, including ongoing coaching, development, and meeting objectives through the annual review process. Lead by example by providing ongoing communication, teaching, and training to team members. Actively lead team meetings and process improvement initiatives to continuously improve work productivity, quality, and efficiency of the team. Plan and oversee all client care operations and programs, including site referrals, admissions, the development of treatment plans, documentation/progress notes, and personal care services. Coordinate counselor and residential specialist schedules and plan for site coverage. Provide leadership to the behavioral health services staff through appropriate decision‑making, work assignment allocations, supervision, reviews, consultation, training, and support. Conduct residential orientation for all new residents and new staff members, collaborating with supervisors, other Signature Health residential team members, or the Education and Training team. Assist in resolving client grievances related to the Residential team. Provide expertise to team members when dealing with crisis intervention and follow up on incident reports. Ensure residential staff practice is within scope of their respective licensing/certifying boards. Provide the team with clinical training opportunities for continuous development. Develop and implement policies and procedures that meet/exceed ODJFS, OMHAS, and CARF standards to obtain and maintain licensure in good standing. Accurately track program metrics and complete required reporting. Monitor compliance with legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards; ensure maintenance of clinical documentation of behavioral health staff in accordance with OMHAS standards. Assist in the strategic planning and implementation of growth strategies for residential services at your assigned location. Establish and maintain excellent community relationships and serve as a community representative for Signature Health’s residential services at that site. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Experience Master’s Degree required. Valid unencumbered license in the state of Ohio required; Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC) required. 5+ years of experience in the Behavioral Health field required. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required; 2+ years of supervisory or management success preferred. Extensive experience in the treatment and care of adults with mental health and substance use issues. Residential treatment experience preferred. Strong clinical skills in developing treatment plans, writing progress notes, and conducting psychosocial assessments. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. While hours of operation are generally standard, flexibility to work evenings and extended hours may be required, including availability by phone for on‑call needs. Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work. Hearing: adequate to hear clients or patients in person, over the telephone, or through telehealth technology. Speaking: adequate to speak to clients or patients in person, over the telephone, or through telehealth technology. Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Physical effort required: occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds, unassisted. Possible exposure to blood‑borne pathogens while performing job duties. Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday. Sufficient dexterity to operate a PC and other office equipment.
