Role summary Food and Consumable associates are focused on two things: taking care of customers and creative merchandising. They move incoming merchandise out to the sales floor and create seasonal display features to meet the needs of the customer. What you’ll do Why is Walmart America's leading grocery store? No matter which fresh food or grocery area you work in, you’ll perform detailed cleaning, check and maintain temperature control, verify dates, and dispose of lower‑quality food products. What you’ll bring Help customers find the products they are looking for. Ensure high‑quality products are available in produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments. Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays. Prepare and serve ready‑to‑eat food. Assist customers in ordering cakes, fulfilling deli orders, or finding the right produce. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
