Located in the central-west region of Florida, aptly known as the Nature Coast, Cabot Citrus Farms is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty. The landscape is marked by dramatic elevation changes, rolling hills, sandy soil, and a canopy of sand pines, palmetto trees, and century-old moss-covered oaks. The destination features 56 holes of golf, including two regulation-length courses, Karoo and Roost, a 9-hole course called The Squeeze, and an 11-hole par-3 course named The Wedge. In addition to golf, the property offers luxury accommodations, real estate opportunities, elevated dining, a full range of off-course adventures, and various outdoor trails, embodying a reimagined vision for Florida golf and active wellness.
Position Overview
As the Food & Beverage Manager of Grange Hall, you will be responsible for leading the daily food and beverage operations within the restaurant and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role oversees service standards, team leadership, beverage programming, and operational execution for the outlet. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance hospitality, operational discipline, and team development while maintaining a high standard of service and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of Grange Hall, ensuring a refined and welcoming dining experience consistent with luxury resort standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of F&B and Culinary to maintain a thoughtful wine and beverage program that complements the menu and enhances the guest dining experience.
- Stay informed on food, beverage, and hospitality trends that enhance the guest experience.
- Partner closely with the Culinary team to ensure strong coordination between kitchen and service.
- Engage with guests throughout service, creating personal connections and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage to ensure the right team is in place to deliver excellent service.
- Emphasize team training and development by providing ongoing education in wine and cocktail knowledge, menu expertise, and luxury service standards to ensure a consistently elevated guest experience.
- Uphold and continuously reinforce service standards, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Foster a positive and engaged team culture, supporting collaboration across departments.
- Collaborate with Culinary, Outside Operations, Events, and other Food & Beverage outlets to support seamless operations.
- Oversee ordering, inventories, and operational controls to support efficient outlet operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and purchasing to maintain quality while supporting responsible cost management.
- Train and mentor team members on menu knowledge, beverage offerings, and service techniques.
- Oversee ordering and inventory processes to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure invoices and purchasing processes are handled accurately and in alignment with resort procedures.
- Ensure Grange Hall maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment while promoting a safe workplace.
- Represent Cabot Citrus Farms at select culinary and hospitality events that support Cabot's reputation.
- Ensure operations align with company policies, service standards, and safety expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality from a recognized University or College is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
- Strong culinary knowledge/interest is a plus.
- Wine knowledge is a plus.
- Must be a creative and effective leader and a team player possessing a high degree of professionalism; sound human resources, communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills (including computer literacy); ambition; drive; energy; and determination.
- Proficiency with computer software systems, POS, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Able to work long hours, be flexible, and work well under pressure.
- Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing.
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
- Exerting up to 50+ pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects.
