Solutions Advisor – commercial, education and government

Epic Security & Architectural Window Films and Graphics | McKinney, TX and Aurora, CO (on-site) | Full-time

Why this role exists

Epic was founded in 2018 after our owners saw security film that had been installed wrong in their children's Texas elementary school. We built Epic to do it right, every time. As a Solutions Advisor, you walk the building, read the glass, and tell decision-makers what is on their windows and what it will take to protect the people behind them.

Epic is a 3M Platinum Elite National Dealer, the largest 3M window film dealer in the nation, and 100% woman-owned. Our crews are Epic employees, not subcontractors, trained and certified in-house through our own apprenticeship. We install 3MTM Impact Protection Attachment (IPA) the Epic way, with structural silicone anchoring film to frame so film, glass and frame perform as one system.

Our work includes the largest project in 3M's history at Cherry Creek Schools, roughly 50,000 windows and more than 600,000 square feet. We have received a 3M award every year since 2018 and have been 3M Dealer of the Year multiple years in a row. Epic's founders bring nearly three decades in security glazing, including the blast-mitigation installation at the White House and U.S. embassies worldwide.

What you will do

• Find and qualify commercial, education and government prospects, and build your own pipeline.
• Walk sites, assess the glass, and recommend the right solution: security film, solar control film, decorative and privacy films, DI-NOC, or large-format graphics.
• Prepare proposals, estimates and quotes, and support bid and RFP responses.
• Keep every opportunity current in our CRM and answer every lead with a clear next step and a date.
• Work side by side with our operations and Certified Installation Specialists so the project is delivered the way it was proposed.
• Build long-term relationships with the people who keep our customers' buildings safe.
• Represent Epic at industry events and stay current on products and industry trends.

What you bring

• Consultative selling skill in commercial, education or government markets, including prospecting and lead qualification.
• Experience preparing proposals, estimates and presentations, and managing opportunities in a CRM.
• Clear communication, sound negotiation, and the ability to earn trust.
• Field-based or on-site experience, preferably in construction, building products, security solutions or a related industry.
• Organization and follow-through on every commitment.
• Comfort with technical product information and building conditions, and a willingness to learn window film and security glazing.
• Professionalism, integrity and care for the customer, in line with our standard: installations done right...every time.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to visit client locations in your territory.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field is a plus.
