PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. This position involves working 3 shifts per week, each lasting 12 hours. The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress, ensuring all safety and health standards are maintained.
- Administer medications and provide post-operative care as directed by physician orders.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members regarding care plans and recovery progress.
- Document patient care and interventions accurately and timely in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- BLS and DCI/BVP certifications are required.
- Experience in a PACU setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires a call commitment of 4 weekdays and 2 weekends over a 6-week schedule.
