What You'll Do

• Provide advanced emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including infants to end-of-life patients
• Manage all acuity levels: MedSurg, Stepdown, ICU, trauma, and specialty care
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate critical care drips, and manage ventilators
• Assist with procedures such as TPA administration, chest tubes, drains, and hemodynamic lines
• Conduct assessments, document patient care in EMR (Meditech Expanse)
• Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, and support staff to deliver quality patient care
• Participate in unit orientation and contribute to a traveler-friendly culture

What You Need

Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI or MOAB certifications
• Strong critical thinking, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and ventilator management skills

Preferred:

• Experience with stroke interventions, trauma stabilization, and complex critical care
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to onboarding
