- # SDO - ElectricianApplylocations: SDO01 - AZ - Sandra Day O'Connor United States Courthousetime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR109266Tunista Logistics Solutions LLCRegular**Primary Function**The Electrical Technician is responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and all related control systems, sub-systems, and related equipment.**Essential Duties*** Able to work independently, analyze situations, and make decisions with minimal supervision* Follow NEC electrical code to install and repair electrical systems* Read and interpret blueprints and drawings* Use schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications provided by the customer or provided for required equipment* Work with hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment* Install and repair electrical and control systems* Install power supply wiring and conduit* Troubleshoot electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuits* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems such as switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, control systems, lighting, and power supplies* Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system* Inspect systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with codes* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems* Utilizes knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems.**Supervisory Responsibilities**No**Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*** Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence* Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff* Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.* Ability to follow a process.* Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.* Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.* Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.* Ability to perform basic mathematical computations* High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently* Ability to multi-task* Knowledge of relevant standards**Required Qualifications*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Five (5) years of commercial/industrial experience* Documentation of completed apprenticeship program for electricians* Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform all duties* Previous military / government Logistics experience preferred but not required.* Ability to maintain government security clearance.* Ability to pass background and drug screening.**Working Environment** A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities.
