The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and is supported by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Clinicians are expected to deliver professional and accurate care within the framework of correctional healthcare. About the Facility Location The area surrounding this Virginia location offers a range of cultural and recreational attractions, including history museums, guided walking tours, and access to regional outdoor recreation. Day trips to various historical and scenic destinations are accessible from the region, and clinicians will find options for weekend travel to state parks, mountain ranges, and coastal areas within reasonable driving distance. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians will provide comprehensive primary care services in a correctional facility setting, managing approximately 1820 patients per day Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing chronic medical conditions, and treating acute illnesses while maintaining accurate documentation.
