Qualifications & Background:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree highly preferred
- Valid Texas teaching certification with SPED endorsements
- Clinical or educational experience in Special Education, social work, counseling, or a related discipline
- Background as a school counselor, LPC, BCBA, psychologist, or social worker strongly preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify target behaviors and underlying causes
- Collaborate in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings to provide expert behavioral insight and documentation
- Deliver consultation and model behavioral interventions in classrooms to support educators
- Respond to crisis situations with effective de-escalation and intervention techniques for student safety
- Maintain comprehensive records and foster positive communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
