Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current state SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Louisiana
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates also considered
School-based experience or a strong interest in working with pediatric and adolescent populations
Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and screenings for students identified with speech, language, voice, or fluency challenges
Create individualized treatment plans targeting student needs in articulation, language, social communication, and/or alternative communication
Provide engaging therapy both one-on-one and within group settings
Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students’ progress
Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with all school and federal guidelines
Attend IEP meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
Educate staff and families on communication strategies to support student learning
