Sr. Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for a Sr. Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage close activities, maintain ledger accuracy, and deliver reliable financial reporting across multiple entities and projects. The position will work closely with operations, project leaders, and management to support sound accounting practices, strengthen reporting visibility, and improve financial processes in a fast-moving environment.Responsibilities:• Lead month-end and year-end accounting activities, helping ensure deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately across NetSuite and connected platforms.• Support the transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to NetSuite by validating migrated information, participating in testing, aligning workflows, and maintaining clear process documentation.• Review and record journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and other system-generated activity while keeping the general ledger accurate across entities, projects, and cost centers.• Partner with department and project leaders to apply proper revenue recognition and job cost accounting for construction-related projects and service operations.• Complete reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank and cash activity, corporate card transactions, employee expenses, and vendor-related items, including activity processed through expense management tools.• Prepare account analyses, variance reporting, and supporting schedules that highlight issues, explain fluctuations, and support decision-making.• Organize audit schedules and supporting records, and respond to internal and external audit requests with clear documentation and explanations.• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting procedures, internal controls, and system efficiency as the organization continues to grow.• Collaborate with leadership, project managers, and field teams to improve financial visibility, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support timely communication across the business..Requirements• 3+ years of accounting experience, with strong exposure to month-end close, year-end close, and general ledger activities.• Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash or bank reconciliations.• Knowledge of NetSuite and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work effectively in ERP-driven accounting environments.• Background in intercompany accounting and accounting for multiple entities, sites, or cost centers.• Experience with data migration validation, financial system testing, or supporting ERP implementation-related accounting work.• Understanding of job cost accounting, project accounting, construction cost tracking, and revenue recognition principles.• Ability to analyze variances, identify data issues, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced setting.• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across accounting, operations, and project teams.Job typePerm
