Express Lube Technician

Lum's Auto Center is seeking a motivated Express Lube Technician to join our team. This entry-level position requires the ability to perform light maintenance and repairs which include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires and flushing cooling systems.At Lum's Auto Center we strive to make every customer a customer for life. Lum's is committed to giving back to the local community with sponsorships to the Clatsop County Fair, Astoria Regatta, Clatsop Community College, Astoria, Seaside, and Warrenton High School Scholarships, to name a few.To be successful as an Express Lube Technician, top candidates will be fun, loyal, empathetic, professional and personable individuals, with a passion for great customer service.Express Lube Technician Responsibilities:Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary.Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.Performs safety inspections (MPI), oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance, tire rotation, tire repairReplenishes supplies as needed for maintenance inventory.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when neededParticipates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean.Attend department meetingsMaintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
