The company invests over US$33 million annually in R&D, maintains a global sales pipeline exceeding US$1.65 billion, and continues to scale manufacturing and deployment capacity to meet accelerating demand.The Washington DC / Northern Virginia office is central to DroneShield's long-term U.S. strategy - bringing innovation closer to the customer, strengthening domestic capability, and supporting national security, public safety, and critical infrastructure protection outcomes across the United States.Responsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsCustomer Engagement & SupportServe as the primary technical point of contact throughout the customer lifecycleSupport Sales with technical consultations, system design reviews, and proposal validationDeliver system demonstrations, evaluations, and end-user trainingProvide remote and on-site technical support and troubleshootingBuild strong relationships with customers across varying technical backgroundsCapture and communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholdersSystem Installation & DeliveryPlan, coordinate, and execute installation of complex, multi-component systemsPerform system configuration, commissioning, testing, and validationSupport deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activitiesEnsure adherence to safety, compliance, and operational standardsTechnical Troubleshooting & SupportDiagnose and resolve technical issues independently whenever possibleEscalate complex issues with clear documentation and contextPerform root-cause analysis and support long-term resolution effortsContribute to system reliability and performance improvementsCollaboration & Product SupportAct as the "voice of the customer" to Product and Engineering teamsSupport product validation, testing, and software releasesCollaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors for successful deliveryAssist in demo environments and internal testing initiativesDocumentation & Continuous ImprovementMaintain accurate service records, reports, and technical documentationDevelop clear, structured documentation for processes and support activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve service efficiency and deliveryContribute to knowledge-sharing and internal training effortsTechnical DevelopmentParticipate in training programs and hands-on field experienceStay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practicesSupport internal systems, test environments, and demo equipmentQualifications, Experience and SkillsRequiredBachelor's degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in a field service or customer-facing technical roleStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Linux operating systemsWorking knowledge of networking (DHCP, subnetting, VPNs)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyWillingness to travel up to 50% in support of field operations and customer engagementsPreferredExperience with networking hardware and complex system integrationExposure to RF, telecommunications, or electronic systemsExperience testing and validating technical systemsFamiliarity with technical documentation and reportingActive or eligible security clearanceKey AttributesProactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-changing environmentsStrong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologiesExcellent documentation skills with high accuracy and attention to detailCustomer-focused mindset with a professional and confident presenceHighly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptableStrong initiative with a continuous learning mindsetNote for recruitment agencies: We do not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters unless specifically instructed.
