Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:

The CVOR RN is responsible for providing specialized perioperative care to cardiovascular surgery patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role involves assisting with various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist during surgeries by scrubbing in and managing operative equipment and instruments.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs, communicate updates, and respond to intraoperative needs.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Support post-operative recovery and provide patient education as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute OR setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and working across all service lines, excluding CVOR robotics.
  
  
• 
  Be able to multi-task, think critically, and excel in bedside manner.
  
  
• 
  Able to work rotating weekends and adapt to flexible scheduling.
  
  
• 
  Maintain active RN licensure in the state of employment.
