HousemanHouseman must clean common areas of the hotel including the front entrance, lobby, public restrooms, breakfast area, elevators, pool, guest hallways, fitness center, employee break room and bathroom and all meeting rooms. Housemen may be required to lift heavy items (sometimes upstairs); interact with guests in a professional/helpful manner; operate vacuums and use different types of cleaning solutions.Professional ExperiencePreferably 6 month's experience in cleaning or janitorial related fieldEssential FunctionsWear uniform per hotel standards; adhere to professional grooming standardsClean common areas per hotel standards and hotel provided training, to include but not limited to:Cleaning front glass doorsVacuuming, sweeping/mopping floors in all areas assignedClean parking lot and pick up trashDust all areas assignedWipe down tables and pick up dishes in breakfast areaEnsure lighting is functionalClean the doors, walls, and tracks in elevatorKeep clutter and debris out of pool and pool areaEmpty trash and recycling bins in pool areaClean up wet areas and use wet floor signsStraighten furnitureCheck ice machine and clean surfaceCheck stairwells for debris and trashEnsure all equipment in fitness room is clean and functionalWipe down surfaces and clean microwave in employee break areaShampoo carpet and power wash building as neededEngage every guest in conversation and recognitionResolve any guest issue immediatelyPromote the hotel by demonstrating high level of positive attitude and energy to serve our guestsRepresents the hotel to the guest throughout any stage of the guest's stayParticipate in all training as assignedPhysical RequirementsAt least average oral communicationRequires walking and repetitive motions, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAble to stand, sit, and walk, for more than 4 hoursEducationBackground screening for previous criminal historyAt least high school diploma or G.E.D.Houseman will be positioned in any department as needed during higher occupancy and short on labor in any department at that time.
