The GLU-2100 is the industry’s leading MMR and continues to be the industry’s most capable, fully digital receiver which integrates the next-generation Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, Instrument landing system (ILS), GPS landing system (GLS) and VHF omni-directional receiver (VOR). Candidates are expected to be an active member of a cross-functional team during all phases of an engineering system development project. Responsibilities include systems level requirements definition, design, integration, and system verification activities. This position will also offer the opportunity to work closely with our domestic and international partners and customers in the development of the system. This is an onsite position in Melbourne, Florida.What You Will Do:Specific responsibilities of this position span all phases of system product development including system requirements analysis, definition, allocation, and validation, system architecture designSystem integration and requirements verification testingSystem modeling and simulation; coordination among systems, hardware, and software design functions; and developing systems related documentation. Senior engineers will be available to provide mentoring to develop your skills as a system engineer and to increase your depth of knowledge in Navigation and GPS technologies.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experienceAerospace industry is requiredWorking knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink simulationExperience with Python, Perl or other script writing toolsSystem level requirements decomposition/analysis, system design and allocation to subsystems/products System integration planning and execution, and system level verification and validation. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
