Body Shop Technician - WichitaPosition Type Full TimeDescriptionPerformance Expectations:I. Customer:Project a positive, helpful and professional attitude to our customers and coworkers.Meet or exceed the customers expectation at all times. "UNDER PROMISE - OVER DELIVER".Ensure that the customer's vehicles are kept clean.II. Repair Process:Use all required safety equipment.Perform inspections on trucks per instruction sheet. Determine if additional safety or service work is required.Read all Service Bulletins to keep informed on new products and improvements.Correctly diagnose cause of any malfunction/customer complaint. Advise Service Manager/Shop Foreman of any additional repairs or costs of repair before performing work. Advise Service Manager/Shop Foreman if work outlined is not needed.Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and meet time guide requirements when prescribed.Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.Document work performed on appropriate labor ticket or hard card legibly.Punch labor tickets on time clock at beginning and end of each work session for each operation.Road-test vehicles when required.Supervise work of any apprentice technicians assigned.III. Must have a Commercial Drivers License and the ability to drive class 8 trucks. Classification "B" minimum.B. Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs.C. Must have knowledge and expertise in using and operating special body shop tools.D. Must have excellent reading skills.E. Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties as prescribed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.All overtime to be approved by supervisor. Tardiness will not be tolerated and will be documented.
