Position Summary: The Accounting Assistant supports the day-to-day financial operations of Fisher Space Pen Co., including processing transactions, maintaining records, assisting in financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role is integral to ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in financial documentation and processes. Key Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in SAGE accounting software. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Prepare and issue invoices, monitor customer payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Support payroll processing and related journal entries. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Provide administrative support to the Accounting Manager as needed. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, and/or 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based company. Experience with ERP or accounting software; SAGE preferably. Knowledge of working with Excel spreadsheets is a must. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
