Role Purpose Reporting to the Business Manager, Serum, the Assistant Product Line Manager, Serum has global commercial responsibility for Corning’s Serum product portfolio. The position requires interaction with individuals in all areas of Corning including Sales, Technical Support, Order Management, Forecasting, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and R&D to assure that customers’ needs are met. The successful candidate will understand the sales process from initial customer contact through successful use of Corning products in the different workflows in the Pharmaceutical, Academia and Research segments that require Media & Serum product in cell culture applications. The Business Support Specialist in collaboration with the Business Manager will be the champion of new product development working with customers, technical service, the sales team, R&D and applications development to identify new applications and product solutions to commercialize new product opportunities. Key Responsibilities Support serum reserves inventory management by monitoring supply levels, matching available products to customer specifications, and aligning with manufacturing to meet customer and market demand. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Forecasting, Manufacturing, and Data teams to support customer requests, demand planning, product performance tracking, cost controls, pricing activities, and business alignment. Maintain the commercial pipeline, key performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to support weekly commercial reviews, strategic decisions, and product-line performance. Support sales and marketing initiatives by developing collateral, sales enablement tools, training programs, dealer marketing support, and customer-focused content. Manage pricing approvals, quote and bid support, custom part-number development, and product-related commercial requirements. Gather voice-of-customer feedback and conduct market and competitive analysis to support product changes, upgrades, new-product opportunities, and sales growth. Travel requirement: approximately 10%. Experiences/Education - Required BA/BS required in marketing or related field. 1-2 years marketing or product management experience. (will also consider internship experience). The range for this position is $62,390.00 - $85,787.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
